Characters Present[]

Summary[]

The La-Dee-Da Birds have come to Wuzzleburg, but they aren't leaving when they're supposed to! Wubbzy and the gang must figure out why and get them to fly away before a snowstorm hits the town.

Recap[]

Wubbzy, Widget, Walden, and Daizy are excited for the arrival of the La-Dee-Da Birds, a flock of birds that are great acrobats and have a special song they sing to put you to sleep. The four have a campout outside the Wubb Club and decorate the Wubb Club with stars to greet the birds. Finally, after they hear a couple of 'squawks', the La-Dee-Da birds arrive! Wubbzy and the gang are amazed of the acrobatics the birds perform as they fly. That night, the gang falls asleep as the birds sing their song. The next morning, the pals have a picnic breakfast.

Suddenly, they hear that it's going to be snowing in Wuzzleburg, and the gang has to get the La-Dee-Da Birds to migrate away. But the birds refuse, so they try various ways to get the birds to migrate. First, Daizy dresses Wubbzy, Widget, and Walden as La-Dee-Da Birds, but when the plan sets in motion, a big gust of wind destroys the costumes. Then Widget creates the Scarecrow 3000s to scare the birds away, but they fail to work. Walden decides that they should make noise while the birds sang their song. Walden plays the violin, Daizy scratches her fingernails on a blackboard, Widget uses her jackhammer, and Wubbzy howls, but it doesn't work because Walden, Daizy, and Widget, fell asleep because their sounds were too weak while the birds sang their song, except for Wubbzy, who had his ears plugged the whole time.

When Wubbzy sees his friends asleep, he studies the birds. First, he notices Birdy Bird fly up and play with one of the shiny stars on the Wubb Club. Wubbzy then notices the La-Dee-Da Birds are also playing with the stars, which gives Wubbzy a great idea! When his pals wake up, they work together to build a helicopter with stars on it and fly it. The La-Dee-Da Birds follow the stars and migrate away, just in time for it to snow. It isn't long until a group of penguins waddle by to live in the Wubb Club until the snowstorm's over.

Trivia[]

  • Moral: Think smart, not hard.
  • The title of this episode is a reference to the musical "Bye Bye Birdie".
  • The episode made its Noggin debut in early 2009.
  • On the Noggin network, DirecTV and other cable systems, this episode was broadcast as the first story, as opposed to being the second story.

  • During recording of the episode, the producers hand the series' four main actors four objects for the sounds during Walden's idea and asked them to try them, and they did:
    1. Carlos Alazraqui records Walden's off-key violin playing by playing a broken violin from the trash.
    2. Tara Strong records Daizy's blackboard scratching by scratching her fingernails on a piece of wood.
    3. Lara Jill Miller records Widget's jackhammer noises by playing with an actual jackhammer.
    4. Grey DeLisle records Wubbzy's howling by actually howling like a wolf throughout a megaphone.
      • Before the scene begins, Bob Boyle says to the four actors, "Guess why you four have a violin, a piece of wood, a jackhammer, and a megaphone for?"
      • A sound that is awful to most people, which is a finger scratching on a chalkboard is heard in this episode when Daizy was scratching her fingernails on the blackboard she was holding.
